How to apply for a professional UGent subscription?

Via the request form (Dutch only).

Depending on the situation, please provide the information below:

  • Step 1: Request transfer to Pay & Go via a Proximus point of sale while retaining the number or request one from teladmin@UGent.be (+)

How to terminate a professional UGent subscription?

A professional UGent subscription can be cancelled at any time using the request form (Dutch only). You have the choice to completely stop the number or to convert it to Pay & Go while retaining the number.

Activated by default for all professional UGent subscriptions

Track your data usage via the 'MyProximus' app. You log in with 4G in the app. The app then immediately knows your call number and can show you the correct data.

Data communication

By default, Pay as you use is activated (PAYU): € 0,03025 incl. VAT /MB
Use the request form (Dutch only) to request a new dataplan.

Data usage limits (introduced from the ruling)

Cancellation of one or both limits can be requested by mail to teladmin@ugent.be
Within these limits, Proximus will, depending on your data usage, send you text messages with information about your data usage.
These do not further affect your data usage as long as you have not exceeded the limit of € 60.

What to do with high bills?

WIFI on the UGent

The priorities for the further development of WiFi at UGent are determined in consultation with the ICT Users' Committee. Consult your Faculty representative in this committee to register needs or obtain further information

Benefits in kind (entered from the ruling)

Invoices < € 50 incl. VAT / month: You will receive a green bill (PDF via email at your UGent email address) with details of your calls, SMS and data usage.
Since your consumption is below € 50, your personal invoice will be € 0.

Invoices > € 50 incl VAT / month : you will receive a green bill (PDF via email at your UGent e-mail address) with details of your calls, SMS and data usage.
The portion of your consumption above € 50 will be billed personally by Proximus.

Payments to third parties: Sending SMS messages for, for example, paying a parking ticket and making calls to special numbers (eg: 0900, 070, 071, …) are always fully invoiced in person.

If you wish, you can pay this invoice with Zoomit (from Proximus).
