You can reset your Ghent University password by logging in with Itsme on the page https://accountreset.ugent.be/en.
If you do not have Itsme or a card reader with your Belgian e-ID, you can reset your password with a reset email. The instructions for resetting your password will then be sent to your private email address that is known to Ghent University. You can change this private email address via:
These emails are sent to your private email address via an automated system. If you have not received this email (or have accidentally deleted it), please visit the account page https://helpdesk.ugent.be/account/en/activatiemail.php.
You will first need to set a new password via https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info/password/change. If you have forgotten your current password, you can reset it via https://accountreset.ugent.be/en.
Once you have changed your password, contact ICT HelpMe for more information about the block and how your account can be reactivated.
Note: A lockout caused by entering the incorrect password too many times will automatically be lifted after a certain period of time.

An external account, intended for people who do not have a Ghent University account, provides secure, personalised access to certain web applications of Ghent University. Such an external account is created using an email address, either by a Ghent University employee or by creating an account for a Ghent University application such as Oasis, the academy platforms, ...

PC classrooms have been set up on various Ghent University campuses. These PC classrooms are sometimes also used for activities in which external parties participate. Examples include guest lectures, lifelong learning activities, workshops, study days, research test panels, etc.
Are you expecting external visitors for a workshop, study day, guest lecture, etc. in a PC class? Then request a class login (UGent intranet for employees) in good time so that these external visitors can log in on a computer in the computer classroom.
