Windows

  • Take a screenshot of the entire screen by pressing the 'PrintScreen' button the keyboard.
    Or you can use 'Alt' + 'PrintScreen' to capture the active window.
  • Next you can paste (Ctrl+v) in various applications, eg. Paint or directly in an e-mail.
    In Paint it is possible to save the file by choosing 'Save as' in the 'File' menu.
  • It is also possible to use the Windows Snipping Tool to capture a screenshot.

MacOS

MacOS uses keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots.
  • A screenshot of the entire screen: Shift+command+3
  • A screenshot of part of the screen: Shift+command+4 and make a selection with the mouse of what you would like to capture.
  • Capture a window or menu: Shift+command+4 followed by spacebar and then click the desired window.
