The first time you connect to the UGent eduroam network with a laptop or mobile device, you will be asked to accept a certificate. This certificate ensures that the connection is secure, and that you do not pass your account information to a malicious party (MITM) which has set up a (false) network using the SSID "eduroam".
The certificate is TERENA SSL CA 3. The "radius server" is ugnps.UGent.be.
Please note that not all devices carry the TERENA SSL CA 3 certificate by default. It is possible that you must verify if the required certificate is present on your device, and that you yourself must add the missing certificate.
The certificate can be imported from: http://http://crl.comodoca.com/AddTrustExternalCARoot.crl
