Digital signing
Do you want to digitally sign a document? There are several options:
- Via Connective, the digital signing platform of Ghent University
- With scanned signature via Foxit Phantom PDF or Adobe Reader
- With e-ID via Foxit Phantom PDF or Adobe Reader
Digital signing platform (Connective)
Ghent University uses Connective's eSignatures as a signing platform for adding eIDAS-compliant digital signatures. You can upload documents to send to multiple signatories (internal and external).

Please note: currently only UGent employees can use the digital signing platform.
Have you received an email asking to sign a document?
With scanned signature
If you want to digitally sign a document with a scanned signature, you can do so in two ways: via Foxit PDF Editor and via Adobe Reader.
With e-ID
If you want to sign a document yourself with a qualified signature, you can do that with your e-ID. You will need an e-ID-reader and it is only possible if the application is installed locally, so not online via Athena.
