Only the PDF viewer Adobe Reader is available on Athena. Adobe does not offer concurrent use licenses. This makes it prohibitively expensive to purchase licenses for all employees, for example. The university bought a campus license for the bibliographical applications EndNote.
EndNote can be used by all university staff and students, from any location.
EndNote is available on Athena (under category "Office").
Installation
Students and staff can download EndNote from the software share:
\\install.ugent.be\software
First, copy the entire folder to your local download folder and then launch the installation file ("EN21Inst.msi") from that folder.

There is no license for local install.

The licence agreement does not allow to download the software.
